OS X and Macintosh applications

DAQ Plot (VVI)

From the site: "DAQ Plot is a simple to use application to plot up to four electrical signals from a DAQ device hooked to your computer's USB connector or other connectors. Use the screw connectors to attach sensor wires and watch the signals graph in realtime. It's that easy. Voltage is displayed in a real-time strip chart fashion. Voltage time series can be saved, retrieved and appended, exported to spreadsheet applications or other applications and exported to a full-featured graph layout application for publication quality results."

Igor Pro 6.0.3 (WaveMetrics)

IGOR Pro is one of the oldest and most powerful graphing/charting application for the Macintosh. For the manipulation of data, it is very powerful. For the graphical delivery of charts and graphs it could benefit from an increased flexibility and visual elegance.

LabView 8.2 (National Instruments)

From the site: "LabVIEW, a general-purpose programming tool for test and measurement, laboratory automation, and industrial automation".

MATLAB 7.6, Simulink 6 (MathWorks)

The MATLAB system (see our Statistics/Mathematics section) includes many modules and toolboxes, but be warned, they do not all work with OS X. See the product's link above for details.

PowerLab (ADInstruments)

Formerly MacLab. From the site: "PowerLab is a data acquisition and analysis system for life science research and teaching . It is an integrated system of hardware and software, comprising the PowerLab recording unit with Chart and Scope software".
