Great OS X charting application. Chartsmith is the major, "affordable-and-flexible" charting program for OS X.


Citrin 1.3 (Gigawiz)

A new charting application by the developers of Aabel (see above). See the website for details.


ConceptDraw line (Computer Systems Odessa)

Application for complex graphical representations. Line of products includes ConceptDraw V, Project, MINDMAP, Presenter, Viewer, MEDICAL.


CoPlot 6.3 (Cohort Software)

CoPlot is a Java program. From the site: "CoPlot Version 6.2 is an incredibly versatile program for making publication-quality 2D and 3D scientific graphs (which plot data and equations), maps, and technical drawings. Every aspect of CoPlot has been designed around one basic goal: to make a program that is so versatile that scientists and engineers can easily get exactly what they want . DataTank (Visual Data Tools Inc.)

From the site: "DataTank is designed for scientific visualization, data mining and algorithm development, but it is flexible enough to be used for a variety of other uses as well."


DeltaGraph 5.7.5 (RedRock)

A classic is back thanks to RedRock Software. DeltaGraph is unmatched for its choices of graphs. DeltaGraph has PDDF import and export, Quartz rendering.

Gifa 5.2 (Gifa Software)

Java-based, will run on Windows and Linux. From the site: Gifa "is a sophisticated computer program designed for the processing, the visualization and the analysis of 1D and 2D NMR data-set".


Igor Pro 6.0.3 (WaveMetrics)

IGOR Pro is one of the oldest and most powerful graphing/charting application for the Macintosh. For the manipulation of data, it is very powerful. For the graphical delivery of charts and graphs it could benefit from an increased flexibility and visual elegance.


KaleidaGraph 4.0.4 (Synergy Software)

Less features than IGOR, but reasonable tool for students.


OpenDX 4.4.4 (VIS Inc.)

Unix-based, will also run on Windows and Linux.


OmniGraffle and OmniGraffle Pro 5.0.1 (Omni Group)

Great application for diagrams, flow charts, org charts, and other graphical items. Version 3.0, especially the Pro version, is huge leap forward for an already great application. Some independent plug ins are available (all freeware):

Plot 0.997 (Michael Wesemann)

proFit 6.1.8 (QuantumSoft)

Very flexible for charts demanding transformations and heavy computation as well as curve fitting.

Triangle Man 1.0 (Island Spirits)

From the site: "Triangle Man is a program for plotting beautiful ternary graphs. By leveraging the Quartz drawing engine in Mac OS X, Triangle Man's graphs are top-notch, including transparency, anti-aliasing, and export to resolution-independent PDF's."
