MacScience:

for a strong presence of OS X and Macintosh applications in Science

From horizontal to vertical software market... and all angles in between!

MacScience aims to promote the Macintosh and OS X in the domain of scientific research. It suggests alternatives to commonly used applications (e.g., web browsers, word processors, spreadsheets) as well as more specialised applications. Java and Darwin/X11 applications are listed as it is clear that UNIX and Windows X applications are important to scientists, so this is reflected in the products we choose to present.
